Autotech and Igranic combine forces in Silsoe

Silsoe officeAutomated Technology Group companies, Autotech and Igranic, are now both based at Autotech’s headquarters building in Silsoe, Bedfordshire. Autotech moved to the extensive and state-of-the-art facilities at Wrest Park, Silsoe, in January 2012 and now the Igranic team has moved from Bedford to the same site.

Commented Andy Robinson, ATG’s CEO, “The amalgamation of the Igranic manufacturing and administration teams into the site at Silsoe will secure important benefits in terms of the group’s continuing expansion, as well as opening up new opportunities for employees wishing to progress within the group.” The move also means that the two companies’ sister firm within ATG, PSJ Fabrications, will have space to expand its operations on the site it previously shared with Igranic in Bedford.

Despite considerable investment to completely refurbish the facilities in Wrest Park only two years ago, ATG is planning further improvements to the site. Explained Andy Robinson, “We are going to create a new Customer Centre in which we can demonstrate our products and skills – both within the engineering and manufacturing departments – and this will be especially useful in cross-selling our solutions between the Autotech and Igranic client bases.”

Further investment is also underway at Autotech’s Kings Norton office, where a fully functioning ABB robot cell is being created for both training and development. This is just one of many technical areas that will be supported by ATG’s newly created role of Training Manager.
