Staff raise funds for charity with ‘Football Shirt Friday’
Footie rivalry came to the fore at PSJ Fabrications recently when members of staff took part in ‘Football shirt Friday’ to raise funds for charity. The event naturally led to considerable banter about which team is the true master of ‘the beautiful game’. More importantly, however, it raised valuable funds – from those sporting shirts and others who just wanted to donate – for The Bobby Moore Fund to help beat bowel cancer.
“The Bobby Moore Fund was established by the legendary footballer’s widow, Stephanie,” explained Craig Johnson, Fabricator at PSJ Fabrications, “in partnership with Cancer Research UK after his death, aged just 51, in 1993. With bowel cancer being the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK, every pound counts in helping to fight this disease. Many thanks to everyone for their generous support.”
