On track for CE marking

CE markPSJ Fabrications has begun the process of scrutiny to achieve CE marking approval, a manufacturer’s declaration that a product sold on the European market meets all the requirements placed on it by the relevant directives.

The management team has instructed IWWI – a firm of welding inspection, consultancy and training specialists – to act as PSJ Fabrications’ Responsible Welding Co-ordinator (RWC) and perform Gap Analysis.

IWWI are working alongside the British Board of Agrément, which is designated by the UK government to issue European Technical Assessments (ETAs) and which represents the UK in the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA) for construction products.

Commented Technical Sales Director, Gareth Bull, “We are confident that gaining CE marking approval will help us in winning additional orders, particularly from main contractors and integrators of larger projects.”
