PSJ Fabrications achieves CE Marking of Fabricated Structural Steelwork
With CE approval for structural steelwork delivered on site becoming mandatory after 1 July 2014, PSJ Fabrications is pleased to announce that it has now been accredited with CE Approval for Structural Fabrications.
As part of qualifying for the accreditation over the past three months the British Board of Agrément (BBA) assessed PSJ Fabrications on many levels, including checking the implementation FPC system procedures and welding quality management, carrying out an inspection of the manufacturing plant and more.
After successfully passing the assessments PSJ Fabrications was issued with Factory Production Control (FPC) and Welding certificates by the BBA and also produced its own Declaration of Performance (DoP) allowing the company to be awarded with BS EN 1090-1 accreditation.
Being approved for CE Marking of Fabricated Structural Steelwork assures products produced by PSJ Fabrications comply with the appropriate manufacturing standards to be sold across the European Union. The accreditation also allows PSJ Fabrications’ products to be used in Consequence Class(CC) 2 and 3 projects, including residential, office, public, agricultural and other buildings.
PSJ Fabrications is delighted to receive this mark of approval. Achieving the accreditation is an important step towards implementing the company’s long term business strategy and PSJ Fabrications looks forward to the benefits it will offer current and future customers.
