PSJ Fabrications promotes “Safe Home”
With staff safety being paramount to PSJ Fabrications and its parent company, The Automated Technology Group, representatives of both the companies were delighted to host a presentation to promote Wood Group’s “Safe Home” message across the whole business.
The presentation was held on 13 April 2016 at PSJ Fabrications’ Bedford premises and was delivered by The Automated Technology Group’s Health and Safety Manager, Allan Jones, and PSJ Fabrications’ Operations Manager, James Clark. The presentation focused on increasing awareness of Wood Group’s annual Health and Safety objectives, the group’s HSSE strategy and the Safe Home vision which communicates Wood Group’s belief that all accidents are preventable.
As part of the presentation, a lot of attention was dedicated to Wood Group’s Life Saving Rules (LSRs) which are designed to support and encourage safe behaviours in the workplace. The LSRs cover nine major topics, including control of work, isolations, working at height, marine rules, lifting, confined spaces, ground works, driving and being fit to work. The rules serve as standard of safe behaviour in the workplace and provide a framework for employees to lead their day-to-day life safely.
James Clark, Operations Manager for PSJ Fabrications, commented “It was a pleasure to communicate the Wood Group’s approach to Health and Safety across the whole business. We strongly believe in the importance of staff collaboration and communication to achieve accident prevention.”
“Campaigns such as these allow our staff to feel supported and provide our clients additional confidence that health and safety are at the heart of our operations,” continued Allan Jones, Health and Safety Manager for The Automated Technology Group.
The senior management teams of PSJ Fabrications and The Automated Technology Group will continue to embrace new opportunities and raise further awareness of health and safety initiatives in order to underpin the importance of zero harm to their employees.
