PSJ Fabrications takes part in charity bike ride
Every summer cyclists from all over the UK travel to London, to take part in the iconic London to Brighton bike ride to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation. PSJ Fabrications strongly believes in the importance of supporting charities and was delighted to participate in the British Heart Foundation’s flagship event on 19 June 2016.
The team was made up of four employees of PSJ Fabrications, Operations Manager – Jim Clark, Technical Manager – Bill White, Brake Press Operator – Suki Nandha and Fabricator – Daniel Parkes, and it also included two friends of the staff. As the PSJ Fabrications team made their way to the finish line on Brighton’s scenic Madeira Drive, cycling 54 miles from Clapham Common in London, their combined efforts raised an impressive donation of £1100. In total the event brought together 28,000 riders to help beat heart disease, raising an astonishing £2 million on the day.
PSJ Fabrications’ Bill White, who has made the journey for the fourth time commented “Taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride was a real challenge and a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was incredible and I am extremely proud to have been part of such an iconic event. We would like to thank everyone who helped us raise the donation and we look forward to taking part in the event again next year.”
